Empty Bowls Project

For almost two decades, members and friends of the Sonoran Arts League have been creating ceramic and glass bowls in support of the Foothills Food Bank Empty Bowls Project held in awareness of World Hunger Day. Each year, on a Friday in October, the public is invited to join us at Harold's Corral in Cave Creek, Arizona. Visitors choose from a wide selection of unique handmade bowls for a minimum donation of $15.00 each ~ a simple lunch is served in the bowl. A silent art auction adds another dimension to this event. 100% of the proceeds go to the Foothills Food Bank & Resource Center ~ approximately $20,000 is raised each year. Empty Bowls Lunch: Friday, October 18, 2019   |   11 am to 1 pm   |   Harold’s Corral, Cave Creek

Have Lunch   |   Buy Art   |   Feed the Hungry   |   Keep the Bowl

The annual Foothills Empty Bowls Project, a Luncheon and Art Auction to honor World Hunger Day, will be held at Harold’s Corral, 6895 Cave Creek Rd., Cave Creek, Friday, October 18, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Lunch, donated by Harold’s Corral, will be served in artist made ceramic or glass bowls. For a suggested donation of $15, guests can select their own unique bowl, made by members and friends of the Sonoran Arts League, and keep it as a lasting reminder of empty bowls every day throughout the world.

The ONLINE ART AUCTION begins in September, and the artwork will be present during the lunch, with the auction closing at 1:00 p.m.

Plan to bring your own sports bottle for access to fresh water provided by Harold’s (save a landfill!).

All proceeds from the lunch benefit the Foothills Food Bank & Resource Center, supporting their ongoing effort to provide emergency food and services to area families in need.
